I made this to fit in the top drawer of my bed-side table, where I like to keep my jewelry. Before this, I had 3-4 different jewelry bins and everything was tangled and a mess. I measured compartments to hold my bracelets, earrings, necklaces, etc. and now my jewelry is so easy to find and keep neat. I made it 1" shallow to make it easier to reach into.
